Serie A 2027 odds: is Inter at 60.5 cents value?
On October 16, 2026, Polymarket priced FC Internazionale Milano (Inter Milan) YES at 60.5 cents to win the 2026-27 Serie A, a 60.5% implied probability, and an equal-weight blend of a 50% six-season title rate with a 59.1% de-vigged bet365 price puts our estimate at 54.5%, a negative edge of 6.0 percentage points. The input that moves the figure off the book is that base rate, three titles in six seasons, because 16 points from six matches is too small a sample to set a Scudetto price. The rest of the note shows the vig arithmetic and the prices that would flip the lean.
How the 54.5% figure was built
Two inputs, equal weights, nothing fitted. On Football Database, Inter finished first in 2020-21, 2023-24 and 2025-26. Milan won 2021-22. Napoli won 2022-23 and 2024-25. Three titles from six seasons is 50.0%.
The second input is one bet365 coupon. Inter's 8/15 was also on talkSPORT on October 14, 2026. The coupon is Inter 8/15, Roma 5/1, AC Milan 14/1, Juventus 14/1, Como 16/1, Napoli 20/1, Lazio 66/1, Atalanta 66/1, Bologna 350/1, Fiorentina 500/1, Sassuolo 500/1, Cagliari 500/1, Udinese 750/1, Torino 750/1, Genoa 1250/1, Parma 1500/1, Frosinone 1500/1, Venezia 1500/1, Lecce 2000/1 and Monza 2000/1. Raw implied probability on a/b is b/(a+b). The 20 prices sum to 1.103765, overround 110.38%. Inter is 15/23, or 65.22%, decimal 1.53, about −188. Divide by the overround and the share is 59.09%.
Our estimate averages the two: (50.0 + 59.09) / 2 = 54.545%, written 54.5%. The gap to 60.5% is 5.96 percentage points, written −6.0pp. Six seasons is a short sample, and the equal weights are a choice. The same cents test is on Barcelona in LaLiga 2027.
What 60.5 cents buys on this contract
The contract is one YES/NO on Inter inside the event “Serie A: 2027 Champion”. It pays a dollar if Inter win the 2026-27 title. Rules on the Polymarket event page say a side that can no longer win resolves No. If the season is cancelled, postponed past May 28, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or still has no winner then, it resolves to Other. That clock is 03:59 UTC on May 29, 2027. The Inter leg's own end stamp is a day later and is not the instant used here.
At 07:21 UTC on October 16, 2026 the YES field was 60.5¢, with about $98,915 traded on the leg and about $889,690 on the event. At 07:36 UTC it read 60.0¢, bid 59¢, ask 61¢, last trade 60¢. Liquidity was about $385,007. About $608 traded on this YES over the prior day, against about $53,843 on the whole event. Half a cent sits inside that 2¢ spread, so the test price stays 60.5¢. Lifting the 61¢ ask is 6.5pp over the 54.5% estimate. Hitting the 59¢ bid is still 4.5pp over it. Gamma's one-month change at 07:36 UTC was +5.5¢. Take that off the 60.0¢ field and you land on 54.5¢. The field can be rounded, so the path is a sketch.
Inter Milan YES at 60.5 cents on the Serie A 2027 champion market is not value on the estimate in this note. The contract was 60.5¢ at 07:21 UTC on October 16, 2026, a 60.5% implied probability before spread. Our estimate is 54.5%, the average of a 50.0% rate from six completed seasons and a 59.09% share of one de-vigged bet365 coupon. Using the rounded 54.5% against 60.5% is a negative edge of 6.0 percentage points. Someone who throws out the base rate and keeps the book should call 60.5¢ roughly fair, because 60.5 minus 59.1 is about 1.4 percentage points and the live book is 59¢ to 61¢. The table after six matches, Inter and Lazio both on 16 points, is too small to overturn either number. The rich gap versus the blend is gone if YES trades at 54¢ or lower without the de-vigged book falling alongside it.
About $608 traded on this YES in a day while roughly $385,000 sat in the book. A modest order can nudge a price that otherwise looks deep. That is not an overnight re-rating of the champions.
"I think – as everyone seems to agree on – Inter are without a doubt the team to beat in Serie A and for everyone else."
Gian Piero Gasperini, head coach, AS Roma (AS Roma, September 18, 2026)
He said that on September 18, 2026, before Roma's matchday 5 game with Inter. The line is the public case for a price near 60¢. In the same press conference he added that a handful of games was too early for conclusions.
Why the champions can still be the centre of the market
Last season is the cleanest case for leaving Inter at the centre. Football Database has Inter on 87 points from 38 matches in 2025-26, goal difference +54, Napoli on 76, Roma on 73, Como on 71, Milan on 70 and Juventus on 69. Champion totals on that site for these six seasons are 91, 86, 90, 94, 82 and 87. The mean is 88.3. An 87-point title is an ordinary total in this window.
A points path, not a title chance, shows why 60¢ can still make sense. With 32 matches left, add (32/38) times last season's points to today's total. Inter: 16 + (32/38) × 87 = 89.3. Roma: 14 + (32/38) × 73 = 75.5. Napoli: 10 + (32/38) × 76 = 74.0. Milan: 12 + (32/38) × 70 = 70.9. The gap is double digits. Current points come from the Football Web Pages table updated at 21:41 on October 12, 2026: Inter 16 points, record 5-1-0, 18 goals and eight conceded, goal difference +10. This sketch does not become a percentage. Six games do not identify a variance.
Home form there is four wins from four at San Siro. Run 16 points from six matches across a 38-game season and you get 101.3 points, well above the 88.3 champion mean, and you would also make Lazio a co-favourite. Both the book and Polymarket reject that. The six-game pace is too hot to carry that weight.
A 59.1% de-vigged book can sit next to that path without 60.5¢ being cheap. The same shape shows up on Arsenal in the Premier League 2027 title market: the favourite can be the right centre of the coupon and still fail a value test.
Why the YES can still be rich at 60.5 cents
Paying 60.5 cents for Inter to win Serie A in 2027 is not value on this blend, even with the champions at the centre of the coupon. The October 16, 2026 print of 60.5¢ is a 60.5% implied probability. The 54.5% estimate is half a 50% title rate and half a 59.1% de-vigged bet365 share. Once that estimate is rounded to one decimal, 54.5 minus 60.5 is a negative edge of 6.0 percentage points. Versus the book alone the gap is about 1.4pp, and the 59–61¢ book swallows it. The negative edge appears only because the 50% base rate gets the same weight as the coupon. That weight is a judgement, and confidence is low. Keep the book and drop the base rate, and the contract looks roughly fair rather than cheap. The −6.0pp figure is not a law. It moves when either input moves, which is why the break lines later are prices and table facts.
Five title handoffs in this window all changed clubs. Inter did not keep 2020-21. Milan did not keep 2021-22. Napoli did not keep 2022-23. Inter did not keep 2023-24. Napoli did not keep 2024-25. A zero-from-five retention rate is far too small to price the champions at nothing. It is enough to stop “reigning champion” being treated as a synonym for 60%. The base rate earns a seat. It does not zero out a side that just posted 87 points.
"Right now it is too early to talk about these things, we have 13 points, there are teams that have 11, it is too early."
Cristian Chivu, head coach, Inter Milan (Goal.com, October 9, 2026)
He said it on October 9, 2026, with Inter on 13 points from five matches, before the win that made it 16. The market had already printed the champions near 60%. Chivu was waving off title talk, not publishing a probability. The sample problem in the estimate is the same one he named.
Gamma's +5.5¢ month change, taken off the 60.0¢ field at 07:36 UTC on October 16, 2026, lands near 54.5¢. If the field is rounded, the old print could sit a cent either side. That is not evidence that 60.5¢ was a stable fair value for weeks. The cent walked toward the book. The base rate did not. Paris Saint-Germain's 2027 Champions League price shows the same habit in another competition: a champion can be the right favourite and still be rich once a base rate enters the average.
Where Roma, Napoli and the longshots sit
The other YES legs are context, not extra bets. At 07:36 UTC Roma was 14.25¢ (about $80,374 traded), Juventus 5.5¢, AC Milan 5.2¢, Como 4.5¢, Napoli 1.9¢ and Lazio 1.8¢. Team A, Team B and Other sat at 50¢ with no volume and are ignored. Those names plus Frosinone's 1.1¢ field sum to 94.25¢.
| Side | Polymarket ¢ | Implied % | De-vigged book % | Estimate % | Edge (pp) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Inter Milan | 60.5 | 60.5 | 59.09 | 54.5 | -6.0 |
| Roma | 14.25 | 14.25 | 15.10 | 15.10 | +0.85 |
| Juventus | 5.5 | 5.5 | 6.04 | 6.04 | +0.54 |
| AC Milan | 5.2 | 5.2 | 6.04 | 6.04 | +0.84 |
| Como | 4.5 | 4.5 | 5.33 | 5.33 | +0.83 |
| Napoli | 1.9 | 1.9 | 4.31 | 4.31 | +2.41 |

Sources: Polymarket gamma outcome prices at 07:36 UTC on October 16, 2026, with Inter's test price kept at the 07:21 UTC print of 60.5¢ because the move was 0.5¢. bet365 fractional coupon read the same day, Inter's 8/15 also on talkSPORT on October 14, 2026, cross-checked against the Oddschecker Serie A winner grid. De-vig is proportional across the full 20-club coupon (overround 110.38%). Inter's estimate is the 54.5% blend. Every other estimate column is the de-vigged book, not a second blend. Edge is that estimate minus the Polymarket price. Inter's −6.0 uses the rounded 54.5 against 60.5. The unrounded gap is 5.96pp.
Roma's de-vigged 15.10% against 14.25¢ is a 0.85pp gap, noise beside a 2¢ spread on the favourite. Napoli is the outlier: 4.31% after the vig, 1.9¢ on Polymarket, 2.41pp between them. The gap is real on these two numbers and it is still not the contract under test. Napoli had 10 points on October 12, record 3-1-2.
Lazio are level with Inter on 16 points and the YES is 1.8¢. Feed Lazio's 54 points from 2025-26 into the same path and you get about 61.5, not 89. Joint top of the table, priced like a 1.8% chance: the market thinks six games are lying. Frosinone's field was 1.1¢, bid 0.3¢, ask 1.9¢, last trade 0.2¢, on about $73,708 traded. That cent is a wide book, not a precise probability.
Where this bet breaks
The lean that 60.5¢ is rich versus a 54.5% blend rests on a short title sample and on one coupon. It breaks if any of these is observed:
- Inter YES trades at 54¢ or below without the de-vigged book falling with it. The rich gap versus the blend is gone, and 60.5¢ is no longer the bet.
- Inter trail by 7 or more points at the end of matchday 19, or on January 1, 2027. The October “joint top” story is dead, and a 60¢ champion price is a different contract.
- bet365 lengthens beyond 4/5. Raw implied probability falls under 55.6%. If the proportional de-vig then drops under 50%, the blend falls and 60.5¢ is richer than this note says.
- Cristian Chivu leaves Inter. The coach who has managed this title defence is gone, which is observable, and the 87-point side in the points path is no longer the same project.
Any one of those retires the −6.0pp figure. A higher YES would make the same blend look richer, which confirms the direction and does not make the base-rate weight any wiser. No injury is invented here. Availability is a published fact, not an October guess.
What to watch before May 2027
Matchday 7 is the next window, not a separate wager. Goal.com dated Bologna versus Inter to October 17, 2026. This note does not price that match. What matters is whether Inter are still top of the Football Web Pages table once October is complete, and whether 8/15 is still the bet365 price the de-vig starts from.
Two levels matter before winter. A YES print of 54¢, with the de-vigged book still near 59%, removes the gap called rich here. A coupon longer than 4/5, if the full-book de-vig falls under 50%, pulls the blend down. The January 1, 2027 table is the first calendar date at which a seven-point deficit would mean the October sample has been replaced. 32 league matches remain. The runway runs to late May 2027.
The open question is whether a champion that has not been retained in any of the last five seasons should still be a 60% shot with 32 matches left. On the October blend the answer is no. The market can keep Inter at the centre and the 60.5¢ YES can still be rich. Both sentences can be true on the same morning.
FAQ
What are Inter Milan's odds to win Serie A in 2027?
On Polymarket, Inter YES was 60.5¢ at 07:21 UTC on October 16, 2026, which reads as a 60.5% implied probability, and 60.0¢ at 07:36 UTC with a 59¢ bid and a 61¢ ask. bet365 showed 8/15 the same day, decimal 1.53, about −188 American, a 65.22% raw implied probability before the vig comes out. After a proportional de-vig of the full coupon that share is 59.1%.
Is Inter at 60.5 cents value on Polymarket?
No, not on this estimate. The blend of a 50% six-season title rate and a 59.1% de-vigged book is 54.5%, so 60.5¢ is about 6.0 percentage points rich. Against the book alone the same cent is only about 1.4pp rich, which the 2¢ spread can absorb. Fair to the coupon, rich to the blend.
What would make 60.5 cents look cheap?
A lower print. If Inter YES traded at 54¢ or below and the de-vigged bet365 share stayed near 59%, the gap this note calls rich would be gone. The opposite move does the opposite job: a longer book, past 4/5 and under a 50% de-vigged share, would drop the blend and make 60.5¢ look richer than it does here. Chivu leaving would make the football underneath the price a different question.
When does this Serie A champion contract resolve?
It resolves to the club that wins the 2026-27 Serie A, on official Serie A as the primary source. If the season is cancelled, postponed after May 28, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or no winner is declared by then, the event resolves to Other. That instant is 03:59 UTC on May 29, 2027.
